It’s been a long ride but it’s finally here, the 1.0 patch of our fan-translation for Sprite’s Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate (Or “Koichoco”). For us this marks the end of an enjoyable project that started small and simple, but ended being much more work than we originally expected. Something that eventually resulted in long waits between updates. Buuut, let’s not go there today, right now you’re probably only here for the patch.
Before I can give it to you however, there are a few small notes to make:
First I’d like to thank the entire team for all the work they put into the translation. Thank you for all of your precious free time out of your day-to-day schedules.
Second, I’d like to thank you all for the support over the years. I’m not sure the patch would’ve been released otherwise.
Next, we shouldn’t forget to thank Sprite for making this beautiful game. Make sure to support them whenever you can!
Lastly, we didn’t get to polish the patch as much as we would’ve liked. If I had a choice in the matter it would probably never be finished. Nonetheless, we are currently happy with the final result.
Compatibility
Now, as for compatibility of the patch; It’s at least compatible with the regular edition of the game as well as the TV Anime Special Edition (Memorial edition), though the latter will have several minor UI images untranslated.
It’s also compatible with our previously released partial patch.
Installation
The patch will come with an automatic installer that you’ll only need to point to your game’s installation directory. It’s recommended to run the installer over a fresh installation of Koichoco and to make a backup before you do so (no whining if you didn’t listen.)
Known issues
We’re aware of several images on the extras screen that aren’t fully translated, but other than that you should be ready to go.
Versions
We didn’t get to do a full all-ages version for you this time but there is a “Safe” version available that has all of the h-scenes removed, but nothing else. So there might be minor nudity in other CGs and the extras screen is left untouched.

Basic Translations 
I finished all the routes, I even unlocked the “Watch the final credits” on the “Game start” menu, but the extra menu didn’t unlocked. Anyone who has the same problem? I wanna view the extra menu. 😦

Every time I try to boot the game it tells me “koichoco.mpg cannot be found” but if i look in the folder it is there. What did I do wrong?
Apparently this is only a patch for the real game, and will require a real disc to play. (its not cracked). This team doesn’t support piracy and you’ll need to find a cracked version of the game or buy it in order for the patch to work.
As such I’ve been unable to experience this game, and it will remain that way since I do not spend cash on moderate entertainment. And I would certainly not buy the game since its just a VN.
If it doesnt run, you need to create the an ISO file out of the game you downloaded, find a cracked version or buy the game.
Are there any genitals in safe version?

thank you for providing us with the translation patches. i am very eager to play this game for a some time now. i have successfully downloaded the game files and i have run the patch installer but i cannot proceed further from executing the start.exe file. i am running this game in win7 compatability mode in win8.1. i am currently stuck at the same step and having the same problem as the commenter Arbiter94 who commented at 01/12/2015 at 17:10 in this page. i have also noticed that i cant find any hook files koichocohook.exe included. i have run the patch installer multiple times by now but i see no change in the result it is the same as i aforementioned. could the cause of this problem be the abscence of the hook files? i would deeply appreciate if anyone could provide me with the required files to play. i changed the region system settings to japan as soon as i downloaded and extracted it but doing so didnt allow me to run the start.exe file i could only go a step further after using locale emeulator which prompts me to think that the problem could be because of the abscence of the hook files.
now that i remember, you aforementioned that you cannot provide any support for systems above win7 but i hope that i will be able to run if i atleast have the hook files.
